This isn't on Maddon. Every team shifts. And we all love the Ohtani to RF move, but hate that it results in Slegers and Claudio pitching. 

The Angels bullpen is garbage. It's been garbage since 2014. Slegers is garbage, Claudio is garbage, Cishek at this stage of his career is garbage. Noe Ramirez is still garbage. 

We have four good relief options, Iglesias, Meyers, Watson and C-Rod. Iglesias and Meyers pitched the last three days and are unavailable. Watson is reserved for a save situation, and Rodriguez is hurt. 

There's literally no one else Maddon has except these pieces of crap. 

This game is on Perry Minasian.

yes Ohtani is showing real promise as a P but he's just one guy. What about half the rotation and the entire bullpen which is complete trash.

Maybe I’m just cynical but it was just a wasted great start in my eyes. He just looked like vintage Shohei with better control. 
 

Yes that control was big and hopefully he continues it but I just can’t get excited when we waste a start like that. I’m also a very negative person which probably doesn’t help with my depression but meh.

They really do skus. That's about 4 starts between Ohtani, Bundy and Heaney where the pitching actually showed up but the offense was silent. Those 4 wins sure could be used right about now.
