2021 Free Agents Fans Wanted/How are they doing

Figured I would start a thread like this because most of us are frustrated and maybe it will help us add some perspective.

Start with the relievers:

Yates: Out for the year

Rosenthal: Has yet to pitch this year

Hendriks: has given up 3 home runs in 8 innings, but overall has pitched well, very few base runners, struck out 14 in those 8 innings.

Colome: just bad

Hand: he has been great.  

Starters:

Bauer: he has been great, very low ERA 2.42 and his WHIP is ridiculous at .62.  36 k’s in 26 innings.  He has given up 4 home runs so far.  

Odorizzi who we face today: 0-2 with a 10.67 ERA, a WHIP of 1.70, he’s given up 3 home runs in 7 innings.  

Snell: Started 4 games has gone a total of 15.1 innings (crazy low), ERA of 4.11, which isn’t horrible. Walking way too many batters.  

Darvish: he’s been fantastic.  Low 2 ERA, low WHIP, he’s beating good teams like the Dodgers last night.  

 

Add whomever you would like to add.  If you were clamoring for someone that is performing well link it here so we can give you props.

I wanted Darvish on this team so bad, and absolutely feel we could’ve topped what San Diego paid without killing our farm or MLB depth. He was pretty much my #1 choice for an off-season add. Sigh.

Musgrove is the one I really wanted and thought was achievable for us - and he’s starting extremely well.

I was one of them. I also wanted Rosenthal (ouch), Odorizzi, Musgrove and Darvish.

I think Richards is due to improve as the season warms up.

Astros starter Jake Odorizzi has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained muscle in his right arm.

I would have liked either James Paxton or Taijuan Walker. Walker has done well, feel bad for Paxton though he would have met our quota.

I just want the pitching luck for this franchise to change.

It’s been so long since this team had a solid enough pitching staff.

Crazy to see how Paxton, Kluber, and Odorizzi have all sucked/been injured.
