They can make other roster moves now.

We should not have Mayfield, Jay and Rojas on the roster once they get back home.

That was a Mauch thing with the buffet table. His Phillies were laughing and joking after a tough late season loss in Houston in 1963.

They have ok depth but it was a  case of bunch of injuries happening at once and weird covid protocols fucking them.

Dominated by K.C. pitching. No clutch hitting or pitching this series. Depth is paper thin. Third base and left field are vast wastelands now. Basically Ohtani, Trout and Walsh are the only real hitting threats. Fletcher is still below par, Iglesias battles, but can't expect too much more from him. Pujols is still the same. Only Stasi is any kind of threat at catcher. The bench is no help at all. Injuries really expose how deep a team is.

For April and the fact that we probably won't be this unlucky for the remainder of the season injury wise, also add in that our offense hasn't yet reached it's stride, the best is yet to come for us. Currently with this broken roster and how KC has started this season, this was par for the course.  Let's count our blessings that the Astros are in an arguably worse situation losing their best players for at least a week.  We also really need to find our backup/future players soon.

To be fair, the current fill-ins are essentially the 3rd teamers, with Rengifo, Ward, Thaiss, and Schebler the 2nd teamers.

Hopefully, the third teamers aren’t up here for much longer.
