You know who else had that same type of injury? Jo Adell two years ago in Spring Training on basically the same play, went in hard and tried to hold up on the bag without sliding. Cost him 3 months of play time but he was lucky it wasn't his knee that was injured.

Given the taxi squads, it'll be one of these hitters.  Of note, if it's Jay, that means he'll need to be added to the 40-man roster.  Hopefully it's Mayfield instead, then later when they return to Anaheim, they can option him and instead call up someone like Ward, etc..

Hopefully Heaney can navigate through 5 innings.  Then turn it over to CRod for 2, then we'll see how close the game is.  Bullpen was used heavily last night, so I'd expect to see CRod absorb some innings and perhaps Claudio, given he was the only other pitcher to not appear in last night's game.
