What happened? ESPN game day is saying strike 3 on Moncada?

Stassi dropped it, made a bad throw to 1B to complete the strikeout, Walsh made a weird attempt at it, then Fletcher threw the ball high to the plate as Abreu was coming home, Ohtani tried to catch the throw from Walsh, Abreu hit him, Ohtani landed weirdly.

Stassi fucked the whole thing up. Clanks the strikeout pitch that you'd expect any MLB catcher to catch...and then follows it up with that horrendous throw

No one is blocking that pitch but yes he fucked yo that throw.

Sadly, that one play feels like it sums up our history as a franchise 😕

I think perhaps you all think he shouldn’t have been in because you’re all so used to how conservative Scioscia was.  He basically battled his way out of it.  The rest was.... not expected.

We also watched Maddon with the quick hook last year.

Fletchers throw was equally bad.

Both of those throws were shit.

Maddon looked like a genius after Ohtani fanned Moncada until Stassi couldn't keep the ball in front of him.

Dumbass.

I think the issue is that Ohtani’s control was not there so it was a big risk leaving him in. It is cool to have a manager show some balls though. This time it didn’t work out
