Umm, Airline pilots wear name tags. So do Generals and Admirals and Chiefs of Police. Astronauts have them. Judges have big ones on their desks. Pretty sure elite sportspeople wear their names on their uniforms too. Unless you're a Mexican bandit that doesn't need any stinking badges, they seem like a pretty good thing to me.

Probably the worst parenting of all is having your child grow up to be an arrogant prick lawyer. Especially one that never even went to a top tier college but still acts as though he is part of some elite hierarchy because he paid to get into the Elks Lodge so he can get drunk with aged out boomers.

I’ve been stewing on it and in addition to the badge thing, I think you can consider yourself a disappointment if you also wear a hat on the job.  Job hat = bad life choices.

mike trout wears a job hat.

he also wears a uniform with his name on it.

They make $9/day.

In CA, it's $15/day starting the second day, plus mileage one-way. Federal jurors make more. And depending on your employer's guidelines, you may still get up to your full regular salary.

I would have thought a successful attorney would have known that.

Typical lack of accountability you'd expect from a millennial.

And somewhere there's a boomer who is face-palming because his entitled son is walking away from a professional baseball career.

Come on. Millennials watched their boomer parents burn out and get divorced chasing that yuppy lifestyle which collectively crashed the economy, erasing a decade worth of opportunity and wealth for their children. If we learned anything it's that being able to take a vacation and have a little time to spend with your family or enjoy a hobby can be worth more than an extra $10-50k a year.
