Close. Definitely had the elementary school olympics ribbons, but not the perfect attendance.

True story. I was in middle school when CA passed some prop that Mexicans felt they were marginalized...I think it had to do with employment. Word caught around that people were going to make a dash for the exits in protest. I remember hearing over the intercom that the principal said anyone who leaves will be punished. During the second break all these Mexicans (probably 75-80% of the school I was at) run to ditch school and the rest of us looked at each other and said, "They can't get us all" and ran with them. I look back laughing because we were all in school the next day and everyone tried to act like it didn't happen. Imagine the paperwork on that one from an administrative side.
