  1. I believe in late bloomers, it happens, but I think he's had enough time to just be given playing time, he's gotta earn it with production imo. I hope he shows more next year.
  2. I'm very biased towards Shohei, but I hope I'm being somewhat objective when I say that this mvp debate is simple math, but Judge has the sentimental and the classic team result edge. Judge will win, especially when voters usually want to choose different winners if they can due to voter fatigue.
  3. If they have any sense, they'd invest a lot more in scouting
  4. I really hope not, he's stuck it out this long, why leave when things might finally change with this org?
  5. Well that's an incredibly narrow minded view of responsibility and fault, but whatever. I think it can not be your fault if there's a system in place that you're meant to rely on, and that you're told by people who are supposed to know better than you that it's not dangerous and it's ready for the scene. He's just an actor, it's not his job to be a prop or weapons expert, he relies on other people who are supposed to know more about it than him. A film set, much like many other workplaces, relies on different people contributing in different ways, for the purpose of efficiency, that's all he did. He did the same thing he's probably done many times, and the reason it went different this time is because someone else failed in their responsibility. If a mechanic of a race car fucks up and it leads to an accident where someone in another car gets killed or injured, is it the driver's fault for trusting the system they've always relied on? And yes, I do think he could have trauma.
  6. If you don't think killing someone (even if it's an accident and not your fault) has the potential to traumatize someone, then you are very naive.
  7. While I think Rittenhouse is a piece of shit, based on what I've seen, it probably does legally fall within self defense.
  8. I don't really care for them using the same failed strategy they've been doing for years, so I'm not exactly filled with hope, especially since he's never been all that durable. But hey, if it works out I won't be complaining.
  9. SF sucks as much as any big city does, I don't think this should be surprising to anyone.
  10. I think I just got tokenized. I would say I'm grateful for the honor, but I'm not.
  11. You have to purposely make time to recharge. It can be just as important as socializing.
  12. More so the anxiety lessening than the energy depletion. My whole life I've felt like I have a finite amount of energy per day, and if I go over it, I'll pay for it later. This is how it's always been for me, good or bad, it all takes something out of me. So I've gone the route of trying to use my energy more efficiently by creating "systems" that make my self care require less energy.
  13. For me, it's all about taking purposeful alone time and communicating that to others, even if you're scared they'll react badly. Make time for yourself and be real with other people about your needs (it's likely they won't react negatively.) I'm very introverted, and I've gotten better at socializing and putting on a happy face, but it wipes me out so fast. I've had social anxiety, depression, and I've dealt with some agoraphobia (I'm mostly over it now,) so I've really had to find a system in my life that allows for me to conserve my energy better.
  14. Dude owned the strike zone, he had no holes in his swing. He was such a towering hitter.
  15. It's a shame, I really didn't want to remember Pujols like this.
  16. He looks great, like the pitcher I always thought he could be. His delivery looks great, his fastball is lively, I really hope he keeps it up.
  17. Lets be real, baseball is a snorefest most of the time. I can't believe I got my gf to watch the games with me and be into it.
  18. The Angels have always been my team since I was little, but I didn't start really paying attention until around 96/97. So the 90's Angels are pretty nostalgic for me, as horrible as they were most of the time. I was very sad when they traded J.T. Snow, and then Edmonds.
