Scientists are like Economists.  They make their best guesses, then change their models when they were wrong.  Unfortunately for the Rona, scientists have been more wrong than right.  Part of the problem being, peer review takes a while, just like FDA certification.  But people want answers now, so initial studies are perceived as science facts which the right and left gobble up.

just found out that someone in one of our school offices tested positive for the 'rona. we have a high school office and an elementary office, and both of them are closed until they can be disinfected.

also found out we're facing a huge budget shortage - over $400k - so some reductions in staff have happened. they wouldn't tell us who, but it appears the elementary staff has not lost anyone.
