Yet the corpse of Pujols will be cemented in the cleanup spot for another three years

Or until Ohtani is back in the lineup. With a .341 OBP Pujols hasn’t been terrible, but, yeah, a .720-ish OPS probably isn’t ideal from the cleanup spot.

Trout career at DH .212/.391/.342/.733

I hate to see him at DH when he's healthy, at least he still gets on base at a high rate as DH.

Maybe he’s one of those players that always needs to be in the game. He does it about five times per season. It’s probably good to get him off his feet every now and then.

Good idea DHing trout, anything to get Bourjos back in the lineup. The team looked lost offensively without him yesterday

Better move in that it reduces the risk of aggravating Trout's tender and maybe not quite healed sore spot covering a CF bigger than Anaheim's.

Edit: Is KC still plastic turf with concrete underneath?

KC converted to grass in 1994. Once Willie Wilson left they didn't need the turf anymore.

Goodwin batting 8th makes no sense. He has been one of our best hitters.

You would think that he wouldn't start at all.  Why do we good production when we could get mediocre?

Unless Bourjos has a few good games at the plate I doubt we see him on the roster by May 1st since Goodwin can play all 3 outfield spots.

We have Parker, Rojas, Walsh and Puello down there that can provide some offense in corner OF spots, while Rojas and Walsh can also play the infield.

I'm in KC for work and I pull up to my hotel and go to check in and I pass by Lastella, Calhoun and Fletcher. Had no idea that I was going to be in the same hotel as the Angels.

I asked the valet guy about them staying there and he said not to bother them because management will toss you from the hotel.

Should be a great weekend in KC.

Looks like you're already on the 'list'
