I think they went as far as "hospitality" tents. I never liked the course, too many blind tee shots that the tee box aligned you to out of bounds. We used to play Cresta Verde in Corona that we called Crusty Dirty, the clubhouse back then was a double wide. Early bird back 9 was $9 bucks so we were always out there at dawn.

I am jealous of you guys getting to play. The last round I played took me only about 5 weeks of rehab to recover from. It should have been for alcoholism because of the round I shot but it was for my back. I ended up giving my clubs to Tank which I'm sure has been the reason he hasn't talked to me since.

The dog legs are severe and there is no room for error as it being a mountain means balls over cliffs.

Aside from that I really dislike that even in the fairways the ball is always above or below your feet.

Tough as shit, but in my backyard.

Went out to skylinks today after work. Shot 44 through six holes and walked off the course. Probably the most frustrated I've ever been in a round

I might as well not even brought my clubs with me the other day, the way I was knocking it around the course. I even did a putter throw on the last hole I played

100 today. Deceiving. I hit the ball amazingly. So many blind shots. Found a bunch of bunkers. Couldn't putt.

Wow, they have sped things up there.  I've always considered it the slowest course in SoCal.

In my experience, Rancho San Joaquin is MUCH slower. True 6 hour rounds on the weekends

Played nine with my two boys yesterday. Shot a 40. 5 pars 4 bogeys. I two putted every hole. Putting with an 8 and 6 year old in the green is an adventure

once played with my regular foursome, but my dad was in town so he came along and rode in the cart. when we'd reach the green, he'd stand there while i was lining up my putt and cheer out loud for me. 

 

i didn't enjoy that.

I play with my business mentor/partner quite a bit and either she doesn't know or doesn't care about walking on people's line.

Played the front 9 at Hidden Valley again.

 

I think the plan was to maybe play 18, even though with an impromptu game at 3ish that may have been tough, but someone had a migraine and started vomitting at the 9th....they also had the score card, so not sure what I posted.

 

However, playing with women meant I hit from the reds to speed up the game and just started each hole with a stroke. It's actually pretty tough. I flew two greens and one of them with a 4 iron off the tee.

 

Playing a full 18 there tomorrow morning.

for my home course when i was kid i played at el segundo. i think the combined yardage on the first three holes was close to 200 yards.

Growing up, there was (I think still is) a pitch and putt; Verdugo Hills GC off the 210.  I think the combined yardage is just over 1200 yards.  I would probably still shoot a 110...
