How the post-season dead ball era is faking everyone out...

Fangraphs also had a story on the ball and it's performance/impact this postseason.

MLB really needs to stop playing games with the baseball..

Skanks fans being skanks.      Astros must be salivating at the prospect of shutting them up in game 5, with an ALCS clinching win.

Hey Skanks fans, the Halos have as many WS appearances in the 2010's as the Skanks have.

What's that?    ONE WS appearance for the Skanks from 2004-2019?      Stay classy!

If the Yankees go to the WS, I'm blaming @Angel Oracle

After clinching the AL pennant, an Astros staffer shouted “Thank God we got Osuna! I’m so f------ glad we got Osuna!” at a group of female reporters.

This situation is completely blowing up....   The Astros released a statement that did more to piss off the world than diffuse the situation.   The guy's "apology" in particular seems to have set off a ton of people.

They deserve the fire storm that's hitting them right now.

Do we smell an Osuna trade coming in the off-season?

And yes, he does have a career 2.75 ERA and 0.91 WHIP (since 2015), along with being just in his mid 20s and with 2 years control .   He also brings significant baggage with him, especially in today's society.

Look at former L.A. Kings player Slava Voynov.   He will finally be allowed to play in the NHL by January 2020, FIVE years after his domestic violence charge first surfaced.

Post season wins ..
With Joe Maddon 11-5 (and a WS win)
Without Joe Maddon 10 -21
Hmmmmmm.

this is a tired narrative. maddon was not the reason for the success of 2002.

you could just as easily say it was because mickey hatcher was one of the coaches, or alfredo griffin.

And Maddon was with us in 2004 and 2005. Our record? 4-9.

I love Maddon and glad he’s back but the way some people worship the dude (if you think he was the secret to success in 2002, then yes you worship him) is just dumb.
