Joey Votto had a down year and could be on the decline, but I would say his extension (which I think was signed after 30) is looking solid.

Votto is still TBD. He's owed $125 mil from ages 35-39 with $20 mil more or a $7 mil buyout at 40. That'll be tough to live up to

Lou Gehrig had 5 one year extensions after 30.

I'm going to toss out there Rod Carew that was pretty damn good from age 33 to 37 with the Angels 324/.400/.406/.806 . It was his last two years  at 38 and 39 that were just league average.

Will Clark, and Raffy..   Obviously PEDs were in play with at least one of those guys -- but both those guys were 5 year deals.  I think Raffy had two such deals but, not sure both came post age 30.

Jim Thome's contract with the Phillies in 2002 must have worked out. That guy played forever. He could probably still DH.
