I think this is questionable:

First, we still don't know what happened those thirty-five years ago.  Second, is it wise to put all victims into one pool?  Lastly, are we really to the point where we won't do things because it will upset other people?  We might as well die out then.

She never says what should have been done only that they handled poorly. Based on the article I think she implies that we should have believed Ford's "evidence". Of course she's right that we are willing to brush things aside when it comes to supporting our tribes. I don't think that's as obvious here.
