I thought he was a guy who might have to go overslot for based on what I had read.  I obviously don't know anything about these guys other than what I read, but I do want to see us find a way to sign some of the later draftees that were supposed to be tough signs.  At least the local kid.

I cannot remember a better draft honestly. Have to go back to Trout's draft.

So our pool is about 7mil  +5% without getting penalized gets us to 7.35 mil.  Numbers for picks 7-10 haven't been announced yet but my guess is that since the 6th pick got $7500, the next four will get the same.  Which puts us almost dead on our current pool number.  So if we use the 5% cushion, we have about 350k left for going over the 125k per for rounds 11-40

I think that leaves us with a pretty good shot to grab Campbell from Arkasas

Angels pick players at 6-10 that are easy to sign for way under slot so they can use the left over money on their top guys or other fliers taken later.  As an example, they went well over for both Adams (1st) and English (5th).
