The last iteration of the Crackers was a AAA International League team. They played their final season in 1965 at what would later be called Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, which had just been completed for the arrival of the Braves from Milwaukee the following season.

My dad has a picture as a kid with Pee Wee on the field at Ebbetts field. He was his idol growing up. Became a Mets fan after the Dodgers and Giants both left town. That is part of the reason I grew up an Angels fan in Yankees country. I grew up in a family of Yankee haters

The guy on the left played in only 267 games over five seasons, and finished with a career WAR of 3.6

He had an arachnid nickname. He was the Dodger third baseman in 1947.

I know this one because i have seen it before.  College students (Duquesne? Pitt?) cheering the Pirates' game 7 victory in 1960. Probably the game winning homer.

This is Chuck Thompson, an Orioles announcer.  I grew up listening to Chuck Thompson and Bill O'Donnell in the late 70's and early 80's do radio.  I think Chuck, Bill and Brooks Robinson also did TV.

NBC would have a local guy do tv for the World Series, along with their crew.
