It's Jim Bottomley, an often overlooked player. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame posthumously by the Veterans committee.

I do remember Forbes Field being by the Pitt campus.

I miss the old stadiums, at least Wrigley and Fenway are still around.

I like the fact that they preserved the wall that Mazeroski hit his HR over. They did this twice; once to Three Rivers Stadium, and the to PNC Park.

Yep. Sparky Anderson. He played exactly one season, 1959, with the Phillies. He still holds the record of most at-bats (527) for a player whose career was only one season long.

No quiz here...just a couple of interesting finds while looking through some old pictures..

Who remembers this? I went. A few buddies and I had one of our parents drop us off. They ran buses from the stadium to Disneyland after the game. In those days you could see the "Matterhorn" from the Big A parking lot. There was really nothing between the two back then. If you wanted to do this today, what would it cost?

And who could forget the Halos first super-star acquisition ..
