Both of those instances look like very tough plays. Aybar is much better than that, and over time he will impress Atlanta. Gotta be honest, the atmosphere he's in is much different than here in laid back Anaheim. He's going to be under a much bigger microscope and his flaws are going to be exaggerated. So strange not seeing him in an Angel uni.

Hope he picks it up and really shows the Braves he's a worthy competitor. Because he is. Scrappy Aybar will be missed on the Halos.

lulz when did the doyers suddenly become a vast cesspool of previous Angel players?

This seems to be happening more and more the past couple years.

For some reason we don't seem to pick up any of their scraps, which I'm totally OK with.

$300 million doesn't buy you what it used to.

Trout plays 81 games at the Big A, 9 games each at Oakland, and Seattle, 2 games at Chavez Ravine. How many HRs would he hit playing 81 games at Texas and to a lessor extent Houston? How about if he played a majority of games in the ALE division? He maybe the best player since Babe Ruth hit in the East. Correa and Harper both hit in easier stadiums than Anaheim. Stadiums can be a majors factor in the number of HR a player hits.

they are at $244mil this year but it is amazing that even with that kind of money tied up they can trot guys like Blanton out there.

At that amount, they would incur a tax of $26 million bringing the total expenditure to $266M.

Last year it totaled $342M and their NLDS Game 3 starter was Brett Anderson.

That's $606 million over a two year span. And you just know they'll be adding more during the season.

Trevor Story hit another home run yesterday.

The first player ever with seven home runs in his team's first six games of the season.

7 HR, 12 RBI

1.111 SLG%

So did Craig.

Ol' Skool, beyatches!!!
