When Goff wasn't pressured or set on his ass he didn't seem to be able to pick up his secondary receivers that we're open. It was looking like he was getting happy feet and unable to get comfortable in the pocket. 

The running game was starting to be successful in the third quarter and then they did stupid shit like a no back set with a 3rd and 2, giving the defense the go ahead to ignore a run defense and choose a blitz or all linebackers play zone. Just dumb play calling by the Rams.

What I don't get was why only ONE jet sweep was run by the Rams, which did produce a 5 yard gain by Woods.    Those had been a big success before Sunday.

he had a good year and stayed out of trouble. he also gets to play alongside aaron donald. those should be good motivation to stay.

Clay Matthews earlier this week signed a 2 year deal to play for the Rams.   Blake Bortles signed a one year deal to back up Goff.

Five days until first pre-season game

Wondering how Gurley is progressing, and thus it might be best to split more evenly the carries during the season with the underrated Malcolm Brown?    Or are they thinking of eventually giving that role to 3rd round pick Darrell Henderson (1909 rush yards and 22 TD's for Memphis U. in 2018)?

That....may have been the ugliest win I've ever seen. Defense just gave up in the 2nd half, Goff was pretty terrible, Gurley was meh.

I think they need to get their starters some reps in the preseason. 

Still, better to be 1-0 than 0-1. But damn. No reason for that game to be as close as it was.

What's the logic behind not playing the regulars in the preseason?

Gurley started slow, but got better in the 2nd half.

Goff definitely was off, for whatever reason, mainly short completions.

Heat wore down the D in the 2nd half?    It'll be warm again on Sunday at the Coliseum, although the Saints are more used to controlled temps indoors.

Only starter on injury report is Eric Weddle (concussion).    They are hopeful that he can play on Sunday.

With the way the first half went, they were fortunate that Brees was not available for the second half.

This is basically their real "preseason" and they're 2-0. I'll take that. 

Should (should) be 3-0 after next week in Cleveland.
