Los Angeles Rams thread

I wasn't following the preseason closely, but is it true that McVay didn't play his regulars at all? Not even a single series of downs?!

So they're just getting warmed up now?!

He looked and sounded terrible in the post-game conference. Veins bulging in his neck, high-pitched voice, rambling and confusing responses, then he suddenly stormed off. The man needs to take a stress pill and calm down.

If the Rams played against TB like they did vs Seattle, last Sunday would have been a for sure victory.   That's the game (TB) that may hurt long term, given the challenging schedule in 2019.

Can't get on Zuerlein, for as many times as he's won games for the Rams.    Ball just didn't hook, just stayed straight to the right.

  • 2 weeks later...

After 3 straight losses, today yields.

DB Marcus Peters was traded to the Ravens for LB Kenny Young and an undisclosed 2020 draft pick.   And yes Lou, Young....Bruin.

First round picks in 2020 and 2021 plus a 4th rounder in 2021 were traded to the Jaguars for DB Jalen Ramsey.   Ramsey has had issues this season in Jacksonville.

They still need to address the issues with the OL and Goff.   Something seems out of whack there.

That's a lot to give up for a guy who took a step back in 2018.  To be fair Jacksonville massively under performed expectations in 2018 after making the AFC title game in 2017 and some of that could have been the team mailing it in once they were out of it.  That said as talented as Ramsey is he's also a guy who runs his mouth and can be a distraction when things aren't going well.  With Talib on IR for at least 8 games the rams are going to need Ramsey to play at a high level because at 3-3 they're facing an uphill battle as it could take 10 wins to get a wildcard birth in the NFC which means they'd need to go 7-3.  I'm sure this is also a move looking beyond this year but trading their next two first rounders makes it that much harder to build through the draft.
