The Rams defense did a terrific job. Maybe they should have played both sides of the ball since the offense decided not to play.

I know the game was really disappointing, but I'd like everyone to remember one important thing regarding the Super Bowl.

Moving Gurley in and out of the game while insisting he's 100% and there's no injury doesn't make any sense. Best running back in football and you use him sparingly. WTH?! Anderson was a non-factor. 

You wait until the 2nd half to have Goff start throwing downfield?! I think Edelman had ten catches by the time the Rams started passing.

Everything was just off. McVay took the blame for the loss, to his credit. Poor coaching and execution though. A chance to beat Brady on one of his rare off days, and they can't get anything going. Just a bad day all around.

the Rams lost because the Pats were better.

Rams still had a nice drive going and a chance to tie with four minutes left and Goff should have just heaved the ball out of bounds. You don't throw a pass like that under pressure. Take the incompletion and continue the drive. The interception killed them.

But yes, Pats and Brady were better. Better coached too. With all the accolades that McVay has been given, he can fail.

Goff also has an infuriating habit of waiting too long to release the ball. Over and over again he displays this critical weakness. He's got to stop that.

LOL story: one guy won all 4 quarters in the pool at the party I went to.  

Of course, there were only two different pairs of numbers for all 4 quarters (N.E. 3 Rams 0 and N.E. 3 Rams 3)

I don't think anyone could imagine a game on a fast surface in ideal weather producing only 16 total points.

The sealer, although it wouldn't have mattered with so little time left in the game, was Zuerlein botching an easy FG try with 5 seconds to play.  

Pats zone pass defense totally confused the Rams.

Can't discount the invaluable experience that McVay gained from coaching in a Super Bowl, especially against a master. 

It looked like a game between one team appearing in 8 Super Bowls in 18 years vs another in its' first since 17 years ago.

It was more Goff holding the ball too long, combined with the Pats zone defense.   Granted, they finally began to move the ball in the second half.

Have to wonder if they weren't prepared for the crowd noise in the first half.

They fought through the Superdome noise two weeks prior.

The Super Bowl is about so much more than game day though.   There are so many distractions for a team not used to them to adjust to.

But more importantly, Belicheck, Brady, Edelman, and Gronk have experienced it so often.

We saw the inexperience of Goff next to the mature skills and experience of Brady. No contest.

Goff was in 1st grade when Brady came into the league.

I think it was more about the overall experience of NE vs. that of the Rams.  McVay has understandably been praised for what he's accomplished so far and some have touted him as the next great coach but Belichick showed that the gap between the two is apparent.  Hopefully McVay, his coaches and his players learn from it and can take that final step.
