I am excited to watch him play everyday. We have up a lot, but we got a lot in return. We got a player that can impact every game right now and for the next 5 years instead of a player that can impact every fifth game a few years from now.

No trade talk here please. There's nothing we or simmons can do about it. Not his fault the Angels gave up what they gave up. Just enjoy the fact that we have arguably the best defensive player in baseball

That's what the Cardinals were tagged for when they got Ozzie Smith (at the same age as Simmons), then the Cardinals proceeded to go to the World Series with Smith.

I love the leadership that Simmons reportedly brings with him. That will be important as the pitching staff and the 2B/3B spots get younger.

Now add someone like Heyward, and the defense AND baserunning both improve by a quantum leap. Say good bye to station to station baseball.

Time to turn Trout loose on the bases again.
