Your post claimed MS tended to bury and hated rookies.  I pointed out two rookie catchers that started over veteran players.  Not sure how I could have been more on topic.

what do gloves over bats have to do with big boy hating rookies?

whatever dude

Why do you keep ignoring they were rookies?   The two most recent examples of rookie catchers basically make your entire rant impotent.   But yeah, whatever dude.

He gave two examples where Sosh benched veterans for rookies. That refutes your position that Scioscia hates rookies.

however if you want more examples: rookie Peter Bourjos was called up and took Tori Hunter out of CF and placed him in RF and benched veterans Juan Rivera. Trout immediately played at the expense of Bobby Abreu. Fact is when the rookie was good enough he has benched a veteran.

In my experience every team's fans think their manager sticks with veterans too long.

Have you ever heard a manager criticized for pulling a veteran too quickly and replacing him with a kid? I haven't.

Managers believe in track records and fans are eternally optimistic that every unproven kid will be a star if he just gets the chance.

Fans generally take someone they haven't seen and project the positive while they take someone they have seen and remember the negative.

This is not an indictment of Angels fans. It's all fans. Trust me on this one.

This is the best post I have seen to describe this. It should be someone's signature.

Perez is severely outplaying a Iannetta. Make no mistake, Perez is the reason the Angels won that game.

1. He was responsible for one of the two runs the Angels scored.

2. No way in hell Iannetta guns down Altuve to start the game, he likely comes around to score if not for Perez.

3. Altuve gets picked off first because he knows Perez gunned him before, so he extends his lead and jumps which leads to his getting picked off. There's a decent chance he scores.

So Perez prevents one, maybe two runs and knocks in one himself. Angels win 2-0. If Iannetta is playing, they likely lose 2-1.
