Carlos Perez.

Dude's throwing out base stealers as well. He's quickly finding his way into Sosh's heart. Not sure what kind of hitter he'll be, but he certainly has a better looking swing than Iannetta

After seeing teams run like crazy against us for the first month, it's nice to have somebody behind the plate that can throw people out.

Perez's hits are falling right now, which is nice, but even when they aren't, he's shown a good ability to reach base via the walk in the minors and also makes tons of contact on the ground, which also means moving runners over. In any case, he holds at least some value offensively, exactly his much remains to be seen, but he should certainly play enough for us all to find out.

The defense, that speaks for itself. We've had to tolerate adequate defensive catching for so long that many of us forgot what a good defensive catcher looks like, and the difference he can make.

Perez is a very welcome addition to this ball club. The less Iannetta catches at this point, the better. See if DHing can get his bat going. Promote Bandy too.

Hitting the ball on the ground with runners on is not something I want to see from Perez. That will lead to a lot of double plays right before Calhoun and Trout come up. Angels will very often benefit more from a K than a ground ball.

Iannetta's one hit and rbi = Sosh starting him the next 5-7 games.

That hit probably should have been scored a fielders choice... Due to the home town scoring decision I'm afraid you're right :(
