He couldn't pull off because Trout waited to the last two strides to call for it. At full speed he isn't slamming on the brakes or veering off in time. 

 

You center fielder needs to signal it is his ball sooner or he will get himself killed. No outfielder will just stand and wait for Trout to get there every time.

i'm not blaming rucinski for this one. we've stranded a million RISP and the defense has let him down. 

He has obviously been rattled by things in and out of his control. he'll be better next time. I'm blaming matt joyce for everything right now.
