At the moment, my only singles are Newspaperofrecord and Enable, but I'll likely have one ticket with back ups in those two races....just in case. I'll be relatively narrow in the races on Saturday (2-4 deep on most tickets) and will spread in the Mile and Classic.

I kinda like the idea of having the children all race on one day. I'll be playing those races lightly, but if I hit one it opens up a bunch more options for Saturday.

I think Yoshida has a good chance of being in the trifecta.

• Polydream, the 5-1 favorite in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Mile, will elect not to go on expected soft or yielding turf after heavy rains this week in Louisville, Ky.

• The same goes for Wesley Ward-trained Shang Shang Shang, the Royal Ascot winner who was 5-1 in Friday's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint. Big Drink of Water will draw in from the also-eligible list.

• Additionally, trainer Shug McGaughey scratched Code of Honor from Friday's Breeders' Cup Juvenile due to a spiked fever, according to BloodHorse.

Turf is REALLY soft...going to be a big factor all weekend. I had a pick in the mile tomorrow that I wont play because of it...Lightening Spear. His only bad starts have been on soft turf.
