Booted from the Big A for cheering the team on?

come on now. You can try and go the  "you're infringing on my civil rights" act and refuse all you want, but they'll escort you out and conduct a search - for whatever reason they choose to make up.  Happened to someone i know about 4 years ago.

Basically it's their house, their rules. The "rights" argument doesn't hold up.

Sorry to hear about what happened to Sarah. It's very unfortunate that a die hard fan who paid hundreds of dollars to see her team was kicked out of a game for cheering.

Needless to say, are you REALLY a fan of her work? I doubt a book about a women's sex and love life is something to advertise on a baseball forum.

Absolutely. First off, she's a comedian and extremely funny. What does gender have to do with it? The book was good and I would recommend it to anyone who has a sense of humor. I laughed out loud many times reading through it.

I picked the book after I knew she was an Angels fan and we had conversations on Twitter over the past year or so.

I was in section 240 last night, and our usher was a douche too. The A's fan sitting next to us was honestly a really cool guy. He yelled out "Coco, you're the man!!" and about a minute later, a man and a woman (I'm guessing both were ushers) show up to the seats and tell him he needs to tone it down. My friend and I told the old man that he hadn't done anything wrong, and he was just rooting for his team like a lot of us have respectfully done at rival stadiums, and all he said is, "We've had 2 complaints already, and it's not your problem son." The stadium experience is deteriorating. No one's even into the game anymore. God forbid someone actually cheers at a baseball game! There were people that actually deserved to be warned, and the usher didn't do anything, because they would walk their drunk selves up to him and kiss ass. What ever happened to the old, friendly ushers that used to work at Angel Stadium!?

Lesbian porn? Yeah. A chick talking about how great her orgasm was with a guy and how she's looking for Mr Right? No. Leave these books to all the feminine shows/websites everywhere on TV and the Internet. Most of us come on sports forums to avoid this type of stuff.

- Anaheim Stadium is private property.  They can refuse service to anyone, just like McDonalds.  If their security decides you're causing a disturbance, they will call APD if you don't want to cooperate.

- I've been escorted from my seats for defending my team (Angels) WITHOUT using profanity, against drunken/angry fans of the opposing teams... So, yeah the "bitter" post about how these types of things have been going-on for years is warranted.  Change it, Angels.

- I'll smuggle back our young security guy from left-field at ST next year...

- I'm all for female sex, and sex with females too... If that post really offended you, then I don't know where you can safely go on the internet.

"Free Sarah!"

Actually, the stadium and its parking lot are public property leased by the Angels, a private entity.  I'm not nit-picking but it is a significant difference.

The city of Anaheim went to court when the Angels changed their name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  I don't have the exact wording, but the city renewed its lease with the Angels on the condition that the name Anaheim remain in the team name.  But there was no wording in the contract with how the Angels could use the word Anaheim.

Also, you know those a-holes in the white suits that beg for money outside the gates?  For soem bogus church?  The Angels fought them on that but were limited because its public property.

The story behind this was Disney was originally planning on using the "California Angels of Anaheim" as their team name. That's why the "of Anaheim" loophole was in the lease for Arte.

This is so sad.  I do not stand during the game normally.  But during rallies, if people in front of me stand, I either stand, or watch on the jumbotron.

The only time I have a problem with standing is when there is absolutely nothing going on.  Yesterday at the Rangers Ballpark, there were maybe 10,000 people there because of the cold weather.  There are 3 people, including me, sitting in my section.  Why does the kettle corn vendor decide to stop directly in front of me to block the plate.  Of course I said something then.  And he moved.  No problem.

Last time I was at a game in Anaheim there was a guy who insisted on constantly dancing in the aisle between sections. Unfortunately I was on an aisle seat with him between me and home plate. This guy had no clue whatsoever what was happening in the game, and he blocked the view of pretty much the whole infield for multiple people as he was going through his gyrations and going up and down the steps. Obviously had multiple beers on board, and had his buddies fetching more. Amazingly, said heavy-handed ushers let this go on until around the top of the seventh inning (some of them even walked past him while he was entertaining himself).

DR!  You're hired as my voice of reason!  (you'll get an annual pat on the back).  Most of my post was tongue-in-cheek; just making a point that THEY run the place, make the rules, and enforce them randomly.

Still "yes" for Sarah and that whole PG-13 issue...

Can someone follow up with this gal and if her story checks out -- and I have no reason to believe it wouldn't -- can we get her an audience with Tim Mead or something --

this should not be happening to any fan, but particularly long time Halos fan with season tix.

This is not the fan friendly Angels I know and if it's happening needs to be responded to NOW.

If this gal's story is anywhere close to accurate. perhaps Angelswin.com should file an official complaint backing her up.

If this is what happened to her , it's just plain ridiculous.

Already did. Tim Mead and the Angels handled this correctly.

No prob.  I'm trying to be more serious as I get older.  It's awesome and the personality change works wonders at insurance seminars and AIDS conferences.  Or as they call it in Santa Ana, 'SIDA.'

Fans in Texas don't the cold weather when they're at a football game.

Further evidence that Josh was right.
