Booted from the Big A for cheering the team on?

Not here, everyone here is pretty cool.  I'm talking about other random places.  Like the Official Anaheim Ducks message board.  A few years ago they banned me because I stated that my occupation was "party animal" in my bio.  Yeah, it was a bad joke, but I didn't think it was that bad.

Woah, that's pretty Gnar. I've heard of forums and message boards like that.

It is AW.com's god given duty to hook Sarah and DR up. That is if Sarah is single.

That could really lead to some Friday Night Shenanigans worth reading as DR describes his time in the Anaheim PD jail for cheering to loudly at a game.

I'm pretty sure Tim Mead didn't want to have to deal with something like this when he walked in the office today.  He's great at his job so I'm certain he'll make sure Sarah's situation is remedied quickly, fairly and effectively.

The ushers at the Big A have a brutal double standard, it seems.  Skankee and Red Sux fans can hover near the 1st base dug out, jump up and take pics during at-bats and disrupt the other fans around them.  But heaven forbid (no pun intended) you're an Angels fan and stand-up and cheer your team.  Happened to me once before and I was more stunned than argumentative.

Looks like there's a new (but by no means young) usher near my section who isn't half-bad about scurrying the idiots away from the dugout, but it still takes him about 45 minutes to get down there.

In the words of The Rock, the ushers need to 'know their damn roles.'

I wonder how sick Sarah is of people singing Hall & Oates' "Sara Smile" to her.

Could be worse. Could be "Sarah" by Starship.

Really?  REALLY?  You are trying to impress a professional comedienne by mentioning that her name happens to also be the name of a song?

That's kind of like walking up to an astrophysicist and showing your math skills by using your fingers to count.

I would like to think this is an isolated incident involving one or two bad apples, but from what I've read on this board and have seen for myself it seems to be a more significant issue. If multiple ushers have people leave for being "rowdy," is it possible that they are being overly sensitive as a by-product of their training? Like others have said here, I do think this needs to be known by the higher-ups in the organization who actually have the power to implement changes to the staff and their philosophy. Overall, it was piss-poor customer service on what should have been a great experience given it was the opening day.

BTW, Sarah is really cool. She follows us on Twitter and is a big fan, as am I of her work. I purchased her book and it's a RIOT. I recommend picking it up as it's good, fun and hilarious read.

Sorry to hear about what happened to Sarah. It's very unfortunate that a die hard fan who paid hundreds of dollars to see her team was kicked out of a game for cheering.

Needless to say, are you REALLY a fan of her work? I doubt a book about a women's sex and love life is something to advertise on a baseball forum.
