I got ripped off by one such contractor for $1,200 who never showed up to install a French door. About three years later I got a subpoena to testify against him in court, then I was told that my testimony was no longer needed. Never found out what happened, i presume that he plead out rather than go to trial. I never saw a dime from the crime victims compensation fund.

You should watch the series Innocence Files on Netflix.  Goes into how dental marks are not good evidence.  Actually does go in depth about the Innocence Project, and cases they cleared.

they used to have a two-headed snake at the LA zoo when i was a kid. that was my favorite animal to see in the entire park. i'm sure that snake is nesting in the great beyond by now.
