Maronde should and will be optioned back to the minors soon. Jepsen should be DFA'd, but I'm not willing to give up on Frieri just yet. He should be used in lower leverage situations though. That MS was recently saying that he would like him back in the closer's role soon though is baffling.

I don't know how many times the announcers have told us that Frieri will continue to be an "important part of the bullpen this year."

 

That's the party line and everyone's sticking to it. They're going to keep trotting him out there as he tries to figure things out. He's not going anywhere.

Heard Terry say one of our affiliate teams was up 17-1 in the 5th inning, and the opposing team came back with 16 RUNS to tie the game.

 

Meanwhile the guys on this team start going through the motions the second we're down by 4 runs.
