Seems to be a pattern that Trout gets us started with a bang, then the rest of the hitters snooze.

Unfortunate outing for Skaggs. He hasn't looked bad. Only hard hits off of him were the HR and the double but it has produced 3 runs. He's getting dinked and dunked all over the field

That's exactly why pitching only to contact is a terrible, awful strategy. You can get blasted without getting blasted, as we've seen tonight.

 

Some nice, timely strikeouts could've avoided that damage.

 

Come on, Skaggs.

I found a worse offense than ours.

 

Houston has six players in the starting lineup hitting .167 or lower.

Ibanez is our freaking cleanup hitter.  Dude is no better than Edgardo Alfonzo was when he was with us, but at least he never hit cleanup.  How has this happened?
