Mistake. Wells did bat .323 in the 1st-4th innings in 2012. No reason we couldn't platoon him with Bourjos, who hit .286 in the 5th-9th innings.

So instead of paying $42 million for that, the Angels are paying $28.1 million to add depth to the Burlington Bees.
