Couldn't disagree with you more. Some of the best hockey games recently have been in the Olympics. Just because the US fails doesn't mean the system is broken. Also, the Olympics is about putting the best athletes up against one another, and not the best amateur athletes.

Just call it the Marty Mc Meathead curse. Ever since Montreal stole the 1993 SC from the Kings with the stick controversy, no SCs for Canada.

But USA beats Russia and then everything after that is anti-climatic.

Nice tip from Toews and it's 1-0 after 1. Sweden controlled the first half and Canada the second half of the first period. Canada with alot more scoring chances though.

I'm just happy Teemu won the MVP. I never expected team USA to get to the gold, but I also never expected Finland to get to the bronze.

More like Canada is just that dominate. I really didnt think they'd be able to dominate the better teams but they did. Finland was the second best team in the Olympics.

Canada gave up 3 goals and never trailed the entire tournament. That's impressive.
