So the Giants won't give up the territorial rights to San Jose but they will let the A's move to SF?

 

Obviously over the course of time the Giants would make more money on rent than they would make selling San Jose but it seems silly.

The Oakland Coliseum is a crap hole. We all know this, but it fits this A's team. It wouldnt be right if they played in AT&T Park. That stadium is too nice looking for the Athletics.

Looks like in the short term it was a threat to Oakland to force them to offer a short tem lease.

Long term it was a threat to the Giants to be more flexible lest they end up with an unwanted tenant long term.

that park is like a little league stadium.

on the reals is more of a college vibe - just one main level and no seats in outfield. 

fun to go to games there though.
