For the first five takers, I have a $20 bet that he won't be on the Angels next year.  Put your money where your keyboards are, suckers.  In case you're horrible at math that means I'm putting $100 of my hard-earned (shuddup) money on the line because I know Cano won't be an Angel.  Now is the chance for all of you who are sure Arte will bring Cano here, to make an easy $20.

Who is gonna step up?

I am not taking any bets, but I doubt seriously that Arte will shell out the type of dollar it will take to sign Cano. Although he has the type of age and mileage that the Angels like, and the fact that he produced excellent numbers for another team, I predict that the Angels aren't even giving Cano any consideration. I sure hope that is the case. We do not need another high priced flop on this team.

What I fear is they trade Kendrick, lose out on Tanaka, then realizing they haven't made any big moves, decide to make a splash.

I would be absolutely shocked if they even made a serious play for Cano.

Just not sure whether they'll pass because they're smarter than trying to give out another ridiculous contract to a luxury item,  or because they've just bogged down the payroll too much as is.
