Why does OC always get lumped in together? Santa Ana and Laguna Niguel might as well be on different continents. Are they aware the Orange County isn't a city? Should be kind of different comparing Westminster and Rancho Santa Margarita.

I spent 4 weeks in Akron and that's all it took to know why houses are cheap. Living there on purpose is not an option.

For now I'll continue to pay a premium to live where I do.  When I was looking at places last year there were some okay areas where houses weren't too bad price wise but I opted for a townhouse in HB.  Eventually I'll probably end up as Adam's neighbor when buying a house in South OC some day.

I don't mind paying for perfect weather. Everyone who lives in San Diego is either from the Midwest or the east coast. They left for a reason. Shoot, I left NorCal cause I was too cold.

I found out that next year my area for work will be Tustin down to Laguna Nigel, if that is going to be permanent then in a few years I might consider a move down that way. But I do love where I live.

I have a decent size home, not too big, but I have a good size piece of property with a pool. To keep the house, yard and pool clean, it's over $450 a month. I guess it beats living in a track home with association fees.
