May or may not. All we know is that he spent only 18 million on pitching last year. Sure would have been nice to have an extra 23 million we are paying Pujols for next year.

Were making 50 a year off of cable now, and spending 140. I think its next year(?) We start making 150 a year off of cable...I doubt we stay at 140.

The way this team has been playing, I think they can hit the .500 mark for the season.  If they do, that is a huge turn around for a team that was at one point 15 games or so under .500. 

 

I think this is huge for the team and gives them momentum for 2014.

I hope Pujols is seeing this and using it to vow to come in at 100% and focused in ST.

Maybe then, he and Hamilton could actually put up an .850+ OPS each, which is what they are being paid to do.

But, I am not buying the momentum thing or even the 'us playing well' stuff.

 

To me, these late August/ September games are like Spring Training games for us. We've been out of it, there's no pressure.

 

For the past two years, the Angels have tanked in April and into mid-May putting themselves in such a hole it's been difficult to dig out of --

 

For 2014 we really need to get off to a good start..........I think Scioscia stays in 2014 but if the team is once again 7 to 8 games out and well below .500 by May 15 -- well, then perhaps a change should be made right then.
