calhoun should have been up a long time ago.

maybe not though- he is a rookie and sciosia will certainly bury him on the bench, start him in all 9 spots in the batting order and start any over the hill stiff they can dig up ahead of him.

makes my hair fall out the way he treats young players.

Judging by your avatar, it also makes your head swell; or is that too many steriods?

I'm starting to think that Calhoun is in SLC to bolster his trade value, which might be diminished with the few amount of at bats he would get with the Angels. Why else would scrubs like Brad Hawpe and Collin Cowgill be with the big club instead of Calhoun?

What is.. "Basic Stupidity"?

It really makes no sense, unless the Angels think there's something seriously wrong with Calhoun and that he can't even be a marginal player. I can see Shuck playing over Kole simply because he's hitting for a good average and Scioscia likes scrappy players like him. But Cowgill and Hawpe?

The real question is why was he selected to pinch hit at that moment?  If I knew he was the only option, I would have let Ianetta hit and then pinch hit Conger if that opportunity was available.  Ianetta is way better than Hawpe......

Sometimes I think Scioscia ignores reality to stay with "match ups."

Apparently Scioscia really liked the matchup of Blanton vs. Cubs last night in the 6th, unfortunately it didn't work out.

Yeah Calhoun has some real problems he is only hitting .330 at SLC with a .970 yet these vet scrubs are here with the big club getting at bats that could be given to a good young player. I don't understand it.
