Syndergaard has given up 9 hits and 7 earned runs in 4 innings so far tonight against the Pirates.  ERA is up to 6.58.

I just read an article like 2 days ago on the Dodger fans item saying we were stupid to sign Anderson, and how we overpaid. Syndegaard was the first thing that popped into my head.

Sucks, because I like the guy.

Ha.  I was never a fan, unfortunately. Something about him has always bugged me.

Tonight’s starter for the A’s

https://www.si.com/mlb/athletics/prospects/luis-medina-seemingly-headed-to-oakland

Medina came to the A's system as part of the Frankie Montas trade last season (along with Sears and Waldichuk), and walks have been an issue since his arrival. The 23-year-old right-hander, like last week's call-up Miller, throws 100 miles per hour. He is also a starting pitcher, like Miller. With Medina out of options heading into next season, the club (if this call-up is accurate) may want to see what he can do at the big-league level before determining if he's a part of their long-term plans. That decision may be made easier by the club's 4-18 start allowing for more opportunities for guys with upside like Medina.

That's a pretty brutal exchange.

I have actually watched a few CWS games of late -- with Anderson and Moncada out they may be the least entertaining team in MLB.   Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez look absolutely awful early on.

They have so many guys that should be good and aren't doing well it's crazy.
