I don't understand what the plan is with Adell.

It should be simple: either play him every day in the majors or play him every day in the minors.

Yes, I totally agree. Now that Marsh is gone, there's no excuse not to play him daily.

Yep.  I think it's clear what Sierra is (i.e., good defensively, good speed, absolutely cannot hit ML pitching), while the jury is still out on Adell.  This is a lost season, so continuing to give starts to Sierra and Gosselin (on the bench today, thankfully) makes zero sense.

That is such a sad looking lineup. Angels going with defense for Ohtani. The offense will have to come from our pitcher

Big game from Moniak 2 hits with a sb tonight.

It looks like the Angels are moving on from Adell. It’s the only conclusion that makes sense to me.

As much as we complain, that's not the worst rotation.

Is it taken for granted that Trout will just quietly slip into the  background now? 

Hardly a word mentioned about him lately. No daily updates. Just broad generalities about a return at some point. 

Obviously with the team in flux there is no urgency. But fans still pay good money and he makes a fortune. It would still be a little compensation for fans watching he and Ohtani back to back in the batting order or wherever.

Last I saw, he was allegedly going to begin more "rotational" activities today or tomorrow, then ramp up more baseball activities like hitting, etc. after that.  I'm not exactly holding my breath on him returning any time soon, though.
