So I’ve been wondering what will happen down the road if a player who left the PGA to join LIV decides he wants to return full time to the PGA tour. Will they allow him back in?

I am sure if the player has a marketable name the doors will be a bit wider open than those that return without any winning records.

They probably have to qualify again.  The big names probably aren't worried about going back.  They made their money, and the "major" window is probably closed.  And it'll be interesting what happens to those that have a lifetime exemption.  

Another interesting thing about who's in and who's out.  World Rankings.  In order to be ranked, you have to compete in 20 professional events in a year.  That's why I think a lot of these guys are looking to join the DP Tour.  So that they can fill the 12 matches to get the ranking, and qualify for the majors.  At least until the LIV gets to it's 14 tournament mark in a few years.  Then they would only need to fill a few to get their rankings.

My grandfather turned me onto him when he was an amateur the same way someone talked about Lebron when he was a kid and I've followed and rooted for him since. It's disappointing to see. A couple weeks ago he was talking about how some of his friends are playing on LIV and to each their own to now being some kind of puppet for the PGA.

Meanwhile, back at the PGA, X-man is threatening to make a mockery of the Travelers course.   -14 with twin 63s, 5 in front after two rounds 

Weird thing, today’s 63 included parring both par 5s, which he usually handles with some ease.

Over a 9-hole stretch, Rory had a quadruple-bogey and 2 doubles. 

He's currently tied for 53rd place.

On the LPGA tour, they just finished their second major of the year. Lexi Thompson blew a two-shot lead and finished second for the twenty-first time in her career.

That was pretty brutal.  I really thought the script would turn after she birdied on 15 to take a 2 shot lead.  Then hearing another collapse.

she's got to figure out a way to close on sunday. this has turned into a unfortunately predictable outcome, and she's just too good of a golfer to keep doing this.
