Thought it was interesting…..I enjoy reading baseball news, even if it’s not about the Angels….

Oh, I'm just messing with you.  I love any opportunity to use that gif.  No hard feelings!

(Also, some of us had already been discussing it in the "stickied" Hot Stove League thread at the top of this forum, so that might be why this thread isn't getting more traffic.)

Better farm system.  No international limitations.  A functional pitching staff.  An owner within the depreciation window.  No Albert Pujols.  No manager in place.  Two first round picks next draft.

Your turn.

Does he have any long term bad contracts?

The Mets have a lot of internal drama/scandals and a shitty owner. They also have a pretty vocal/harsh fanbase.

I think Eppler joining the Angels/Mets has some similarities in terms of complexity. The only difference is that Eppler inherited a depleted farm system when he arrived in Anaheim.

It's the Mets. I mean come on, the Mets! And they don't have beaches.

Ummm... that's all I've got, but hey, it's the Mets!

The depleted farm system was probably the least problematic issue he inherited.  And you know how I felt about the farm.

Cano is owed $48M over the next 2 years.

And when Cohen first bought the team he was on the books for three years and 72 mil.

It's kinda LOL.

But how many scouts?  If you have too many that gets complex.
