IGNORED

Is this the longest year or what?

I nominate the past 6 losing seasons as a contender to longest period in franchise history, closing in on the franchise record 7 straight losing seasons from 1971-1977.

Only the Pirates can also claim that the past 6 seasons.

Has ANY MLB team had as many injuries as the Halos the past 6 years?   When does it stop, and become normal health for MLB teams again?

And Arte Moreno, I don’t want to see yet another big FA money/declining slugger signed again!

Act like career .302 OBP Javy Baez doesn’t exist!

The pitching has been middle of the pack this season.  It's actually a big step forward for the starters.  The pen was basically one guy for about 80% of the year.  The offense lost what should be their two best players.

The defense cost this team 7-8 games at the very least.  Health and some better players might make a huge difference.  Or it might make a small one for the better.

To assume the defense is going to get better next year is just so difficult.  They could revamp their process and make a huge difference or they could be pig headed and force a similar approach thinking it will work next time.

When the team wasn't very good a few years ago, the process to make them better and the approach they took to do so was actually somewhat predictable and made sense.

Based on what Minasian did this year and with how Joe manages coupled with Arte being Arte, I literally have no idea what direction this team is headed for.  It wouldn't surprise me if they won 95 games next year.  It also would surprise me if they lost 95.  That's pretty much how confused I am with this team.

With the Trout and Rendon injuries you knew by the all star game that the season would be disappointing can't call it the 'worst' when your top players are missing for so long. But not really enjoyable watching either other than Ohtani. Walsh, Iglesias. Maybe  short windows on Adell and Marsh and a couple of young pitchers.

If you want disappointing realities after high expectations for one season,  how about trading Randy Johnson for Mark Langston and thinking it was an upgrade?  Not even factoring the historical lopsided future. Even Langston probably feels embarrassed by that trade. There were worse fates than being an Angels fan.

I regret to inform you that not even the Pirates can claim that, they were above .500 in 2018.  The Phillies finished an even 81-81 in 2019, otherwise you could lump them in with us.  Same with KC finishing 81-81 in 2016.  But alas, they did not, so the Angels are actually the SOLE team to have all of their last 6 seasons be losing seasons (provided we finish with a losing record this year).  Just think about that.  We've had the best player in the league since 2012 and we currently hold this longest losing season streak.

Yes, I believe it is.

I have not watched a complete game in over two months except for the Padres game when Snell was perfect for several innings. (Which I kept watching just in case it turned out to be a perfect game - for the Angels opponent.)

I spend far more time reading AW than watching the team.

There have been more frustrating years for me (1999, 2012, 2018) but never a year in which I have cared less about Angels baseball.

After last year, I don't mind one bit.

Bad baseball is better than no baseball, at least to me.

that's funny because i'm the exact opposite. this is the only attention i give to the angels at all. i'm just waiting for them to be good again, while reading a message board about baseball.

Congratulations Arte Moreno, are you happy now?

Still never want to go over the tax threshold, this time needing a real solid starter, a real solid late innings guy, a decent enough to play at least 120 games SS, 2nd catcher, and re-signing Iglesias and Cobb?

Be a man and spend some money on something other than declining FA sluggers from other teams!

I absolutely agree.
