We have an absolutely brutal owner. He is Jerry Jones with an extreme case of yacht envy.

This fucking guy continues to insert his ego over the the plans of his General Managers and it cripples the team.

With Rendon, the Yankees and Gerrit Cole had just pimped him so he throws crazy money at Rendon to satisfy his ego. It was an overpay from the start. Now Rendon is under contract for $191 M over the next 5 years. He only played 58 games this year which is about $484,000 per game. I think Rendon is a solid dude but I don't think he is going to age well and that $191 M will stop the team from making other moves.

They paid the going rate for a great 3rd baseman.  It is dumb to blame Arte for a 31 year old needing surgery.

I'm so glad Arte held onto Cobb and both Iglesias. This team is winning the division for sure. Top 10 players in the game aren't needed to win anyway.

I have no reason to be all up in arms over Rendon needing a surgery.

Plenty of players at some point need surgery.

Honestly I would rather see this and have the hope that his lack of elite performance lately was tied to something that will be fixed rather than have him not need surgery and inexplicably struggle.

Get healthy and I will root for him to be a very strong contributor to a winning team next year.

I wish they would have traded Iglesias, Cobb I get, he was hurt.  Went on the IL with right wrist irritation.  Sounds like more than a blister.

I mean really people, why would you trade away players on one year deals that other teams will overpay you for when Mayfield is your starting third baseman for the rest of the year? Why make the team better for the future when your current team has a 1.1% chance to make the playoffs?
