He’s on the restricted list, so he doesn’t count towards it.

Got it. So what do you think the move is, or is it no move? I'm not sure what his role would be now that Suarez is in the rotation. Canning's spot? Long relief?

I’m guessing long relief, taking Suarez’ spot.

Then if Canning still struggles and Wantz pitches like Suarez, Wantz could flip flop with Canning.

He's not a starter, he's a relief pitcher.  How about his first role being "mop up."

I don't know much about him but 5 of his 8 games in SLC have been starts. And he had 18 starts in 2019.

Did well in A+ ball in 2019 for the first part as a part-time starter, and then struggled in AA as mostly a starter.

Much better so far in AAA

The thing that made me hesitant to jump on the Wantz wagon was that he needed to sell out to become more effective at higher levels. He threw harder and his slider was crisp, but he'd lose the strike zone. 

But it seems like over the last season or so, he's figured out how to balance the two. So if this development is sustainable, then I'm a BIG fan. He could be pretty solid. Versatile.
