I’ve watched a lot of Minnesota hockey and if they ever figure out zone entry their power play will be lethal

Playing just prevent defense doesn't work.  Not with 2 minutes left in the game.  Stolarz deserved better.

Interesting move 2 games into the season.  Pateryn really didn't make sense if the Ducks were going young.  Plus the logjam in defensemen with Fowler, Shattenkirk, Manson, and Lindholm.  Add in Drysdale.  Leaves only one spot, until they ditch the vets.  Grant on the other hand was a good fourth liner.  Might signal that McTavish is here to stay, or not.  But with Z, Henrique, Getzlaf, Ludestrom, and McTavish all C's.  Can see why Grant is the odd man out.

Thoughts after 2 games. 

Goalies are carrying the team.

Why isn't Z playing more?  First game, Rakell, Getz, Silfverberg were you TOI leaders.  Second game, Grant, Silfverberg, Giroulx were your TOI leaders, with Henrique and Rakell rounding it up.  Are they shopping players?  Especially Grant.  Seems odd, he is the TOI leader for the Jets game, then gets sent down the next day.  

Defense is playing better, at least they aren't just standing around guarding no one and blocking the goalie like in the preseason.  But it just felt like it was musical pairings.  It's good they sent down Pateryn.  They really need to make some trade porn to open up slots for the young guys.

Like I said before, let's see where we are after 20 games. I have a bad feeling this team, as is, won't weather well as the season goes on. I hope I'm wrong (Well, actually I'm okay with it if the draft pick is good enough.). I just don't think the make up of this team is playoff caliber yet.

Hate to see Grant not doing better. I wonder what's up with that. Is he physically not there anymore or did he get that 3 year contract and just take a breath. He should still be in his prime now. Maybe a little time in the AHL will be a good break.

I didn't see the whole game. But, the parts I saw looked like we were outmatched (except OT where I thought we out played them).
