Yeah these votes seem akin to the UN "condemning" something but it's pointless because there's no action being taken and it's just virtue signaling.  I'm guessing neither side has any appetite to do anything about it and even just some kind of sanctions likely end up hurting the people you're trying to help.

To be fair, names like 'Chip,' 'Budd,' and 'Buck' probably earn a statistically significant amount of votes over neutral names from republican voters in primaries.

Alternatively names like 'LaShawnda,' 'Monique' and 'Jose' have the opposite effect.
