Politicians aren't held to the same standards as us mere mortals.  They passed the ACA and discuss medicare for all but they didn't and won't end up on those plans.  Many of them spend more time trying to get into and stay in the national spotlight than they actually do working for their own constituents while social media and 24/7 news has only made it worse.  They act like it's imperative they get something done before going on break for weeks that they've been putting off for months or longer yet as a country we're still dealing with many of the same issues that have been going on for decades.  99% of us would be unemployed if we performed like they do at their jobs.

Trump was just stealing my idea but scaled it down so it has no purpose.

Look, just build a canal from California to Texas to bypass the Panama Canal. We reap the benefits of trade bypassing the southern route saving time and fuel so it's environmentally friendly and pays for itself instead of a stupid wall. 

Oh, and fill it with man eating sharks and 50 foot high embankments with motion sensor lasers. Simple.
