I suspect LaStella will be packaged up and sent away for some pitching now? I really want to keep Fletcher. LaStella is in the last year of his deal if I recall.

LaStella won't bring much back. Machado didn't bring much back. One year of control just isn't worth much.

Or have LaStella start 100 games at 1B and fill in elsewhere.

Trout hits a decent number of balls to CF/RCF.   Adell has hit some long HRs to RF in the minors.    If memory serves me, Rendon has hit some as well.

Someone posted this earlier in a thread, but man the West is crazy good at 3rd base.  You could make the argument that we got Rendon and we still have the 3rd best 3rd baseman in the division.  I don't say that to devalue him or his impact, just to point out how crazy good our division is at the hot corner.

No joke, the top 3 3B by fWAR last year were Bregman, Rendon, and Chapman. In 2018 Ramirez was #1 and Bregman, Chapman, and Rendon were 2,3, and 4.

I'd take Rendon over the rest. I still can't believe we now have a stud 3rd baseman.

Yeah it's been awhile since we were solid at 3B.

I'm pretty happy about that.

Now let's bundle some of the spare parts and trade for some pitching.

The rest of our infield "depth" should be ready to move.
