I love Joe.

Me too, for several reasons. But for this reason in particular.

He's not average Joe (pun intended), but will go against the grain to maximize the talent on the roster.

Personally I never liked babying Ohtani with a day off before and after his starts.

This is a bad take. They were being cautious with him because of his elbow issues.

No. Eppler said that hitting had no bearing on him pitching. I'm also talking about 2018.

This gives me a boner.

Imagine a game in which Ohtani pitches a SO and also goes 4-4 with 2 homeruns. That's like a 1 WAR game.

I'll be in my bunk.

Is there room for one more?

It’s a bad take because he’s already doing something no one has done in 100 years.  It’s not babying it’s load management of sorts.

I miss the days when pitchers went 300 innings and didn’t bitch about it.

Bumgarner strikes me as the type that would love to pitch 200 innings and bat 7 days a week.

And go 10-12 with a 4 ERA and bat .230 with 14 home runs.

You just pulled that out of your ass didn't you Strad? Wouldn't be the first time.

Yes I did.  I can’t predict the future anymore than you can.  But bottom line is fans want more and more and more and don’t simply appreciate what he does do.  What he does do is twice the workload of anyone in the game.

That is you and Taylor's opinions. I obviously disagree with your takes.

You can strategically give him off days against tough lefties many times throughout the season. But I want his bat in there against other teams RHPs more times than not.

We all want that.  By the way it might only be my opinion or Taylor’s opinion, but it is based on what the team is doing with him so far.  So there’s that.
